    Listed below are the optional courses available this year to students enrolled on chemical engineering @ edinburgh programmes. Any online information we are aware of can be found by following the links, including the Course Documents (note that we do not currently have Course Documents for all the option courses, but they will be mounted as soon as they become available).     Those enrolled in the fourth year of the BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering must take 20 credits from the following options:

  • Separation Processes 5 (U00359) in semester 2 at 10 credits
  • Chemical Reaction Engineering 5 (U00357) in semester 2 at 10 credits
  • Bioprocesses Engineering 5 (U00348) in semester 2 at 10 credits

  • Those enrolled in the fourth year of the BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering with Management must take 20 credits from the following options:

  • Operations Management 4 (U01301) in semester 1 at 10 credits

  • Supply Chain Management 4 (U00653) in semester 2 at 10 credits
  • Human Resources Management 4 (U01305) in semester 2 at 10 credits

  • Those enrolled in the fourth year of the BEng/MEng in Chemical Engineering with Environmental Studies must take the following 'options':

  • Water and Wastewater Systems 4 (U00424) in semester 1 at 10 credits
  • Water Resources Engineering 4 (U00422) in semester 2 at 10 credits

  • Those enrolled in the fifth year of the MEng in Chemical Engineering or the MEng in Chemical Engineering with Environmental Studies* must take 80 credits from the following options:
