Lecture 2: Design of Reactors for 1st Order Reactions
Aims of lecture:
- To introduce the three main types of chemical reactor
- To discuss the mathematics of reactor sizing for
reactors with first order reactions
Learning outcomes; students who have followed this lecture will be able to:
- Estimate the sizes required for batch and continuous reactors
controlled by 1st order kinetics
